Windshield Tint Tampa

Slash glare, block UV rays, and keep your cabin cooler — without breaking Florida law.

Why Tint Your Windshield?

Your windshield is the largest piece of glass on your vehicle — and the one that takes the most direct sun exposure. Florida's intense year-round sunshine means your windshield is constantly bombarding you with heat, UV rays, and blinding glare.

Windshield tint film is a thin, optically clear or lightly tinted layer applied to the inside of your windshield. It dramatically reduces heat and UV penetration while maintaining the visibility you need to drive safely.

Florida Law: What's Legal on Your Windshield?

Florida law permits non-reflective tint film on the top portion of the windshield — specifically above the AS-1 line (typically the top 6 inches). This is commonly called a "visor strip" or "eyebrow tint."

Below the AS-1 line, the windshield must remain clear and untinted to ensure full driver visibility. Tint Pro's only installs windshield film that complies with Florida Statute 316.2954 — every job includes a certificate of compliance.

✓ Non-reflective tint is permitted on the top 6 inches (AS-1 line) of the windshield only.

Glare Reduction

Stop Squinting on Tampa Roads

Tampa's low morning and evening sun angles create some of the most dangerous glare conditions in the country. A windshield visor strip cuts that direct sun glare right at the source — before it hits your eyes.

Reduced glare means less eye strain, faster reaction times, and a dramatically safer driving experience on I-275, I-4, and Tampa Bay's sun-drenched surface roads.

UV Protection

Block Up to 99% of UV Rays

Even clear windshield glass only blocks a portion of UV radiation. Quality windshield film blocks up to 99% of UVA and UVB rays — protecting your skin, your eyes, and your dashboard from sun damage.

Dermatologists and the Skin Cancer Foundation recommend window film as an effective UV barrier. Your daily commute adds up — windshield tint is one of the smartest health investments you can make.

Heat Reduction

Cooler Cabin, Less AC Strain

The windshield accounts for a significant portion of solar heat entering your vehicle. Windshield film rejects infrared heat before it enters the cabin, keeping temperatures noticeably lower — especially when parked.

A cooler car means your AC reaches your target temperature faster and runs less aggressively, reducing fuel consumption and wear on your compressor.

Safety & Shatter Resistance

An Extra Layer of Protection

Windshield film adds a bonding layer to the glass that helps hold it together in the event of an impact. While not a replacement for laminated safety glass, it provides an additional barrier against shattering.

In the event of a rock chip or minor impact, the film helps prevent cracks from spreading and keeps glass fragments contained.

OEM Tint vs. Aftermarket Windshield Film

Many vehicles come with factory-tinted glass, but OEM tint and aftermarket film are very different products with different performance levels.
